WHEN JUST THE “BEATS” OVERPOWER YOU-

When there is nothing around you, when there is no one to smile, cry or talk, when you cant express or feel all alone, there is only one thing which soothes your mind, MUSIC. Music has always been like a companion which will never leave you, like an elder showing you the right path and sometimes it creates moments which stay with you forever. Through all the good and bad phases of life, through all the ups and downs, music always gives us the reason and the strength to relate to every emotion. We all need music as it gives us the moments when we can relate to ourselves.

Music has no definition; it offers to all and takes away nothing in return. Over the years music has gone way ahead of just being an art form. Music is one thing which binds the whole world together. Today music has a wide variety of genres. Right from the classics to rock, music has seen it all. It has defined the way people walk, talk and dress.

Music has no boundaries, it needs no reason to connect to people and make other people connect. The latest revelation to the world of music is EDM, i.e. Electronic Dance Music.EDM is one genre of which is highly popular among the youth around the world. Music with no lyrics, just the beats and the drop! There are a million EDM followers all around the world today. There are a million more who love this and who want to be an edm artist. Although there are many who say that EDM is not famous in India and the Indian music lovers wont follow such kind of music. But that certainly is not the fact. The youth in India has a crazy EDM fan following. This is the reason why in past one year the more and more renowned EDM artists are coming to India to perform.The famous artists like Avichi, Hardwell, Steve Aoki and Armin have all toured India. They have had live concerts in Mumbai and have seen people turing out in huge numbers. The world famous Swedish House Mafia performed their last concert in Mumbai. The view of thousand Mumbaikars dancing to the beats of “Dont you worry child..”, with the artists waving Indian flags was a sight that most EDM lovers will never forget. Although there have been many concerts and people enjoying hits like “Sapceman” and getting cake faced by Steve Aoki, there is a lot more to come. The famous artist DEADMOUSE will be performing in the city soon and also Skrillex known for his electro-house will be touring the city to make everyone in the city tap and dance to his beats.The addition of festivals like ‘Enchanted Valley Concert’ which went on for three continuous days, being the first EDM concert in the country has seen the number of EDM lovers rising day by day. Although how much ever we criticise this genre for the fact that it is nothing but just a push of buttons, music has no definition and the fan following answers all the questions. Certainly as we are growing and progressing in the world of music, this new born music from technology just wants the music lovers to forget and let loose and just dance to the beats and wait for the DROP!
